The Pixel is Data Live edition app for Mac, derived from the app for iPhone, interprets your photos' pixels in real time and transforms them automagically in art pieces that you can instantly tweak with code and/or buttons!

How does it work?

After having loaded the photo, change the parameters by writing our simple code and/or via the buttons panel. It's up to you, changes will immediately show!

Once you're satisfied with the result, you can simply save the image.

Organized by the Pompidou Center in Paris, the Fête du code créatif aims at helping children discover programming by offering fun and creative activities with or related to code.
Discover code and make real-time, automagical art
With both its modes, « code » and « boutons », Pixel is Data is accessible as early as for 4 year-olds. Kids around the age of 6 or 7 years can write code by themselves and see instantaneous results. This fun initiation helps kids realize the link between programming and digital pictures.
